Chemical Context
This page links to PowerPoint files telling a chemical story or anecdote. These have been used as enrichment within lessons (displayed on a large screen) or to supplement on-line resources that students access independently.
A few are to zip files containing other related resources including web pages that use Chime to display interactive molecular images. To display these the MDL Chime plug-in must be installed on your web browser. Note that all the zip files will need to be 'unzipped' before any links from the PowerPoint will work.
Many of the images used are from the open source Wikipedia Commons archive; the sources of any others should always be referenced.
An excellent source of ideas and materials for this type of resource is the Bristol University 'Molecule of the Month' website here.
Please feel free to point out any chemical or linguistic errors within these resources.
New materials for this page will be gratefully received.
